Zoo and Inside Zoo Math Mat
This two-sided laminated mat has a zoo on one side and the inside of the zoo on the other. Students can use the mat for free play and then teachers and parents can use the activities included to extend the student's understanding. Students can create their own addition and subtraction problems by using the Bears and Chairs. An activity guide is included with activities to build conceptual knowledge and problems to solve based on the addition and subtraction situations written for pre-kindergarten, kindergarten, grade 1 and grade 2.
We recommend using this mat with the addition and subtraction situations that are presented in the CCMS on page 89. Young children can act out these problems when solving.
